May 28-31, 2024. Dramaturging a new play-in-development The Truth Underneath for Ping Chong and Company. The play follows the life and work of 2021 Filipino Nobel Peace Prize Winner Maria Ressa, and her fight for the freedom of the press against the rise of fascism worldwide.

June 2, 2019. First rehearsal of Yilong Liu's Joker at New York Theatre Workshop rehearsal room. The production is produced by National Queer Theatre, 2019 WorldPride, and IRT Theatre. Rehearsals will continue at IRT Theatre until it's opening at said theatre on July 3rd.

May 10, 2019. My short play Star Showers (an ending to an unwritten full length play) was performed at The Duplex. In my absence, my new piece will be performed by actor HanJie Chow. New pieces by singer-songwriter Pearl Rhein and filmmaker Travis Stewart will premiere as well at Hyacinth Production's monthly salon.

July 2021. Co-facilitated and co-directed with Adam Odsess-Rubin a new pilot theatre program Rainbow Connection for the Cherry Grove Arts Project on Fire island. The two week theatre intensive centered multigenerational conversation on LGBTQIA experience on and off the island; through devised theatre practices, the participants wrote original pieces that were performed at the Cherry Grove Community Center and Theatre. Producer was Sheila Morgan.

February 2023. Directed Garrett David Kim’s I Love You Truman for the Parsnip Ship. Had a spectacular third time with the piece!
February 2023. My first full-length play Learning How to Read by Moonlight played for 9 performances to sold-out houses in NYC.
January 2023. This month marks the start of the new Ma-Yi Writers Lab in partnership with playwright Kimber Lee and dramaturg Kalina Ko. We welcomed new Labbies, and started the new Playground Program (after the Lark’s).
